TechFlow reported that the modular blockchain network Celestia has rolled out the Oolong upgrade on its testnet, marking the latest update to the Arabica Devnet and Mocha Testnet. The new network ID for Mocha is now mocha-3, and the new network ID for Arabica is now arabica-9.
In addition, this upgrade will serve as a candidate version for the mainnet launch. If successful, the mainnet may adopt the Oolong upgrade. New features in this upgrade include increasing the available space for blob data within blocks, expanding the Namespace ID size from 8 bytes to 29 bytes, imposing limits on block size, and removing on-chain governance.
