TechFlow reports, according to governance page data, the Aave community has passed on-chain voting for the AIP proposal titled "Freeze TUSD Reserve on V2 Ethereum Pool," which will be executed within 3 hours.
Per the proposal, following the recent TUSD asset incident, it is recommended to freeze the TUSD reserve within the Aave V2 Ethereum pool. This action will prevent users from depositing or borrowing TUSD on the Aave V2 Ethereum pool. Existing positions remain unaffected, and users can still repay and withdraw TUSD from the Aave V2 Ethereum pool. This AIP aims to take a conservative approach toward the TUSD situation, allowing the community to step back and assess the circumstances before making further decisions.
