TechFlow reports that the decentralized social media platform Lens Protocol has released proposal LIP-4 to introduce a default-enabled security layer called "Profile Guardian" to Lens Profiles, helping users protect against phishing scams. "Profile Guardian" will disable critical operations such as approval and transfer of Lens Profiles. Users may choose to disable "Profile Guardian," which will trigger a 7-day cooling period. During this time, services like Lens API can track and provide data to clients to notify users that their Profile is in an insecure state and recommend actions to secure their Profile.
