TechFlow reports, according to Deadline, the Web3 space opera MMORPG "Space Nation Online," developed with a $50 million investment, has announced its Alpha test will launch in August this year, followed by an official release in Q2 2024. The IP is set to expand into animated shorts, spin-off games, and a television series.
The project's creative team includes four professionals from the film and gaming industries, notably Hollywood director Roland Emmerich and Jerome Wu, former product manager of "World of Warcraft" China. Backing the project are investors including Chain Hill Capital, Foresight Ventures, Lighthouse Capital, SevenX Ventures, HashKey Capital, Arcane Group, Initiate Capital, JDAC Capital, Assembly Partners, and Cristian Manea.
