TechFlow news — Virtual insurer OneDegree has announced a new round of financing worth $27 million, backed by investors including Gobi Partners, Sun Hung Kai & Co., and Bitrock.
The funds will be used to expand its digital asset insurance offerings. This marks the company's fifth funding round since its founding in 2016. With this latest round, total raised capital exceeds $97 million, following a $28 million raise in 2021.
Notably, in November 2021, OneDegree launched cryptocurrency insurance for the first time, providing HK$100 million in coverage to Hong Kong Digital Asset Exchange.
