TechFlow news, according to documents published on the U.S. SEC website, prominent venture capital firm a16z has launched a new fund called the "a16z Perennial Venture Capital Fund," aimed at further expanding its operations. The fund will be managed by a16z's Menlo Park office. Additionally, the venture firm has registered its Perennial Management business with the SEC and is listed as a "Large Advisor."
According to the ADV filing with the SEC, the business unit oversees $105 million in regulatory assets under management and already has 18 high-net-worth individuals as clients. The filing indicates that this division will offer portfolio management and other advisory services to small businesses, individuals, pooled investment vehicles, as well as private fund managers, wealth management advisors, and financial planners. Currently, the new business unit has eight employees, including Chief Investment Officer Michel Del Buono, who was hired last year.
