TechFlow News — According to an official blog post, Tether has announced the launch of its US dollar-pegged Tether token (USD₮) on Kava, the world’s first and most widely used stablecoin platform.
Launched in 2018, the Kava network features a co-governed design that combines the flexibility of the Ethereum Virtual Machine with the speed, low transaction fees, and interoperability offered by the Cosmos Software Development Kit (SDK). This unique architecture enables users to operate within the Kava protocol leveraging Cosmos "zones" functionality. Last month, Kava successfully launched its "Kava 13" mainnet upgrade, enhancing its infrastructure to deliver improved security, scalability, functionality, and speed for users.
Paolo Ardoino, Chief Technology Officer at Tether, said: “We’re excited to bring USD₮ to Kava, offering its strong community access to the world’s first, most stable, trusted, and widely adopted stablecoin.” He added, “The Kava network is a distinctive and closely watched blockchain, with a four-year track record of zero security incidents—an essential factor in protecting USD₮ users. Together, we are committed to reshaping the future of decentralized finance and fostering a powerful, inclusive ecosystem that benefits users worldwide.”
This announcement further solidifies Tether’s position as the most widely adopted stablecoin. As a pioneer in introducing innovative concepts within the digital token space, Tether now operates live across multiple networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Algorand, EOS, Liquid Network, Omni, and Tron.
