TechFlow news, June 21 — TRON founder and Huobi Global Advisory Council member Justin Sun shared a Yahoo Finance article titled "Blockchain-Issued Securities Are Rising in Hong Kong," stating that a new chapter for Web3 has arrived. UBS and BOC International have launched blockchain-based securities in Hong Kong, marking a milestone in crypto's expansion beyond traditional finance.
Sun emphasized that this development reflects TRON's vision—distributed ledger technology is shaping the future of digital currencies.
Recently, BOC International successfully issued a fully digital structured note worth 200 million RMB, becoming the first Chinese financial institution in Hong Kong to launch a blockchain-based digital security. The product was originated by UBS and offered to its clients across the Asia-Pacific region. This marks the first time a public Ethereum blockchain has been used for such a digital issuance in the Asia-Pacific region.
