Sun stated that although he is not a legal expert himself, he highly values Zach's significant contributions to blockchain security and his critical role in guiding users to protect their funds.
It is reported that NFT trader Machi Big Brother (Jeffrey Huang) has filed a defamation lawsuit against independent blockchain investigator ZachXBT. The lawsuit references an investigation published by ZachXBT on his blog and Twitter in June 2022, accusing Machi Big Brother of market manipulation and misappropriating 22,000 ETH worth tens of millions of dollars.
In response, ZachXBT stated on Twitter that the lawsuit is baseless and constitutes an attack on freedom of speech. Meanwhile, ZachXBT launched a public fundraising campaign to raise $1 million to cover legal defense costs related to the case, with any excess funds to be proportionally refunded to donors. According to media reports, the designated donation address has already received cryptocurrency donations equivalent to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
