TechFlow news — In response to "Gauntlet's proposal to freeze CRV collateral in Curve founder's wallets," Aave integration lead Marc Zeller replied that the core ethos of DeFi is neutrality—protocols should function effectively regardless of whether a pool consists of large or many small positions. Therefore, we should respect users' intentions and how they choose to use the protocol.
Furthermore, potential "solutions" that may cause more harm than good should be approached with caution. While we need to monitor and manage risks, we must do so in a way that respects DeFi principles and protocol functionality.
Finally, Marc Zeller encourages users to adopt Aave V3 over V2, as V3 offers caps that allow for more granular management. In our view, there is currently no need to enforce any actions through governance.
