TechFlow reports that the Ethereum Layer 2 network Taiko has launched its alpha-3 testnet.
The main objectives of this testnet include the following:
1. Testing new protocol economics designs and implementations, including a revised fee/reward model.
2. Testing the Bridge using partial Merkle proofs to verify signals/messages (alpha-1 and alpha-2 used full Merkle proofs).
3. Testing the new oracle prover, allowing regular proofs to appear before oracle proofs.
4. Testing proof cooldown time (recommended: 30 minutes).
5. Testing new ETH deposits on Layer 2 using withdrawalsRoot.
6. Testing the parent layer. Taiko L3 will be deployed in the coming weeks.
