TechFlow news, according to Decrypt, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has removed the personal profile page of its former Director of Corporation Finance, William Hinman. Previously, the page contained a detailed overview of Hinman's professional background, but now only displays a single line stating that Hinman served as Director of Corporation Finance from May 2017 to December 2020. Notably, other staff profiles remain unaffected and unchanged.
This change may be related to the ongoing SEC vs. Ripple Labs litigation. In fact, Hinman has become a key figure in this case. During a 2018 FinTech Week conference, he stated that the sale of ETH does not constitute a "security transaction." Previously, the judge ruled that the SEC cannot seal documents related to Hinman.
