TechFlow reports, according to on-chain analyst Yujin's monitoring, that while SUI token holders are focusing on the monthly unlocking of 34.61 million SUI on OKX/Kucoin every 3rd (continuing for 12 months), there is another more noteworthy matter: Sui's PoS issuance.
Currently, the Sui network generates 1.11 million SUI per epoch (approximately 24 hours). Since the Sui mainnet launch, 53 epochs have passed, resulting in a total production of 58.88 million SUI. At present, 7.3 billion SUI are staked in the Sui network via PoS, meaning that undeclared project teams, investors, and foundations have mined approximately 405 million SUI from the network’s PoS rewards. The annual PoS issuance (405 million) is already close to the amount sold publicly via OKX/Kucoin (450 million).
