TechFlow news: On Monday, Linda Yaccarino, Twitter's new CEO, took office earlier than expected. As the former head of advertising sales at NBCUniversal, Yaccarino faces the daunting task of winning back advertisers for Twitter.
On Sunday, Yaccarino announced that Joe Benarroch would join her team, though his exact role has not yet been specified. Benarroch previously served as Executive Vice President of Communications for NBCUniversal's advertising sales division under Yaccarino and formerly held the position of Director of Advertising Communications at Facebook. Earlier, Elon Musk lost numerous advertisers due to relaxed content moderation policies and erratic behavior. Currently, Yaccarino's challenge lies in regaining these advertisers' trust. Prior to Benarroch's appointment, Ella Irwin, Twitter’s head of Trust and Safety, departed on Thursday last week. Subsequently, AJ Brown, the company’s head of Brand Safety and Ad Quality, also resigned later that week.
