TechFlow reports that Binance has announced support for the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network upgrade and hard fork, with deposits and withdrawals on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network expected to be suspended at 5:30 UTC+8.
The upgrade will take place at block height 29,020,050 of the BNB Smart Chain network (estimated at 06:00 UTC+8 on June 12, 2023), introducing a fast finality mechanism, improved cross-chain relay management, and precompiled contracts for verifying CometBFT Light Blocks. This upgrade is expected to further enhance the performance and security of the BNB Smart Chain.
