TechFlow reports that on June 1, LSD protocol unshETH announced on social media that around 10:00 PM on May 31, a private key for the unshETH contract was leaked. As a precaution, the team urgently paused withdrawals of unshETH ETH. According to unshETH, under its security model, unshETH ETH deposits (with a TVL of $35 million) are protected by multi-sig and timelock mechanisms, and are not at risk.
In addition, some affiliated protocol contracts have been compromised, but the team is collaborating with white-hat security experts from Coinbase, Stargate, Paladin Blockchain Security, GitHub, and Google to ensure user fund safety. The impact is expected to be limited. Meanwhile, the team has contacted the hacker to negotiate the return of funds and contract ownership in an effort to minimize disruption to existing users.
