TechFlow news: The White House announced that the debt ceiling will be suspended until January 1, 2025. Subsequently, President Joe Biden stated during a press Q&A that the United States would not eliminate the debt ceiling entirely. This remark came after he declared reaching a final agreement with Speaker Kevin McCarthy on raising the debt ceiling.
When asked whether he believed the U.S. should abolish the debt ceiling altogether, Biden responded, "No, I think eliminating the debt ceiling would create more controversy." However, he added that his administration would examine "whether to invoke the 14th Amendment within the next year or two, and whether the debt ceiling should be determined annually going forward."
