TechFlow news: CME Group announced it will expand the expiration schedule for Ethereum and Bitcoin standard and micro contracts to daily expirations. Giovanni Vicioso, Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products at CME Group, said that offering these new options contracts will provide market participants with greater precision and flexibility in managing short-term price risks for Bitcoin and Ether.
CME Group announced plans to extend its cryptocurrency options contracts for standard and micro Bitcoin and Ethereum contracts starting May 22, pending regulatory review. The new expiration dates for Bitcoin and Ethereum futures options will include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ethereum futures options will add Tuesday and Thursday expirations to the existing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday contracts.
