TechFlow reports that cybersecurity company Unciphered claims it can hack the Trezor Model T hardware cryptocurrency wallet. In a YouTube demonstration, Unciphered showed how to exploit a vulnerability in the wallet to extract the mnemonic seed and private keys, stating this type of attack is only feasible when the attacker has physical access to the hardware wallet. Unciphered argues that fixing this vulnerability would require Trezor to recall all its Model T devices.
Earlier reports indicated that in early February, Unciphered claimed to have cracked both Trezor and other hardware wallets. The company previously exploited a vulnerability in OneKey, which promptly addressed and fixed the issue.
