TechFlow reports that Light Protocol, a privacy project in the Solana ecosystem, has launched Light v3, enabling developers to build fast private payments, encrypted order books, and on-chain games with private states.
Light v3 utilizes the Private Solana Programs (PSP) protocol to perform zkSNARK verification within originating transactions and settle directly on Solana without requiring a rollup.
The protocol allows developers to move private program logic to the client side, after which Solana verifies the zkSNARKs to prove the correctness of state transitions without revealing the transitions themselves. The Light Protocol testnet is now live and will launch on Solana's mainnet in the coming months.
