TechFlow news, on May 20, UniPass and Keystone announced their merger into Account Labs. The former CEO of Keystone, Lixin Liu, will serve as CEO of Account Labs, primarily responsible for business development, growth, fundraising, and other external affairs. The former CEO of UniPass, Zhixian, will take on the role of COO at Account Labs, focusing on product development, team building, and internal operations.
Keystone hardware wallet is a device that uses QR codes for data transmission, ensuring mnemonic phrases and private keys "never touch the internet." In April 2022, it became the first hardware wallet to support MetaMask Mobile. UniPass is a low-barrier, non-custodial smart contract wallet solution offering seedless and gasless user experiences.
Following the merger, Account Labs will maintain the existing Keystone and UniPass businesses, with no impact on current users and customers. The company will also continue exploring synergies between the two platforms in the field of account abstraction, aiming to make it easier for more people to own and manage their decentralized accounts, thereby bringing hundreds of millions of users into the Web3 world.
