TechFlow News — On May 18, according to an official blog post, Gala Games will begin burning GALA tokens as committed in the 2023 Gems Program Vision Paper, in order to achieve mobile expansion and support its node ecosystem. This means 2 billion GALA tokens will be burned this year, with 500 million GALA tokens burned each quarter.
In addition, Gala Games announced the destruction of approximately 3.96 billion additional GALA tokens—equivalent to their total revenue received. They have also decided to completely eliminate "sell-offs and exits" to address community concerns and actively prevent potential exit scams. They have already started burning 15 billion GALA tokens, nearly depleting their reserves.
Looking ahead, Gala Games will establish wallets as strategic reserves, publicly labeled on-chain, demonstrating their long-term commitment to the community and node network.
