TechFlow reported, according to The Wall Street Journal, that accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP plans to invest $1 billion over the next three years in its U.S. business to adopt generative AI technology, partnering with Microsoft Corp. and OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, to automate various aspects of tax, audit, and consulting services.
The multi-year investment, announced Wednesday, includes hiring more AI staff, training existing employees in AI capabilities, and targeting AI software makers for potential acquisitions.
