TechFlow News — Fantom founder Andre Cronje revealed he is working on a cryptocurrency payment infrastructure project and has already launched a closed beta version of the product, with plans to open its crypto-friendly bank to the public later this year.
In response to a Twitter user complaining that digital bank Revolut is not crypto-friendly, Fantom founder Andre Cronje replied: "Do you need a card, or do you just need payment infrastructure? If it's payment infrastructure, I can add you to our closed beta. If it's a card, that will be available by the end of 2023, and the crypto-friendly bank will open to the public within this year."
Andre Cronje also added that, given the regulatory stance in the United States, these products may not be available to U.S. citizens, and KYC procedures will be unavoidable.
