TechFlow reported, according to the Snapshot voting page, ApeCoin community's proposal AIP-230 on "donating $1 million to the Ethereum community" has passed. The proposal allocates $300,000 to ETHGlobal and $700,000 to sponsor 11 ApeCoin hackathons and at least five public benefit initiatives, aiming to respond to Vitalik Buterin’s 2022 call for Ape to fund public goods.
The final vote results show 46.21% in favor, 29.96% opposed, and 23.84% abstaining. Under ApeCoin's voting mechanism, abstentions do not affect the outcome.
