TechFlow reports that a16z crypto engineer ncitron.eth has announced the launch of "Magi," an OP Stack rollup client written in Rust. "Magi" performs the same core functions as op-node and works alongside execution clients (such as op-geth) to sync with any OP Stack chain, including Optimism and Base. As an independent implementation, Magi aims to enhance the security and resilience of the entire OP Stack ecosystem.
"Magi" is currently under development and may take several months before it becomes a viable alternative to op-node.
