TechFlow news: On April 17, CME Group announced plans to expand its cryptocurrency options contracts into standard and micro bitcoin and ether futures, pending regulatory review, starting May 22.
Bitcoin and ether futures options will introduce new expiration dates on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether futures options will add Tuesday and Thursday expirations to the existing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday contract expirations. All these new products will complement the current monthly and quarterly expirations for all Bitcoin and Ether futures contracts.
