TechFlow news, according to a document from Nevada, Elon Musk established his new artificial intelligence company X.AI on March 9, 2023, with Musk serving as director and Jared Birchall, director of the Musk family office, serving as corporate secretary.
A report by Business Insider revealed that Musk has purchased thousands of graphics processing units (GPUs) to power an upcoming generative AI product. The Financial Times also reported that Musk plans to create an AI company to compete with OpenAI, which is backed by Microsoft. Musk has even approached investors from SpaceX and Tesla to secure funding for the new venture.
Earlier reports indicated that Elon Musk acquired approximately 10,000 GPUs in preparation for generative AI and other projects, despite his previous calls to pause AI training.
