TechFlow News — Derek, a developer from MakerDAO's Protocol Engineering Core Unit (PECU), announced on the governance forum that due to governance architecture reform proposals previously put forward by Maker founder Rune Christensen, MakerDAO's PECU is shutting down and will transition in an orderly manner to be replaced by independent ecosystem participants.
Derek stated that with the successful launch of Endgame and Constitution MIP, Scope Frameworks are clearly changing how work requests are made to contributors. As such, PECU will cease operations by the end of April 2023 and will collaborate with community members to ensure a smooth transition into the new framework.
Given this situation, several current MakerDAO PECU developers have already commented indicating they will stop contributing to MakerDAO starting April 30.
