TechFlow News, April 6 — Fabian Vogelsteller, an early Ethereum builder and co-creator of the ERC-20 standard, has launched the Layer 1 public blockchain LUKSO, positioning it as a competitor to Ethereum itself.
LUKSO will soon open the opportunity for validators to join the network. A Genesis Validator deposit smart contract will go live on the Ethereum blockchain in a few weeks.
On LUKSO, the Genesis Validator Deposit Smart Contract will allow users to deposit LYXe—an ERC-20 token launched in June 2020 during a reversible ICO round—to become genesis validators. (After mainnet launch, LYXe will be converted into LYX, LUKSO’s native token.)
