TechFlow news — OpenAI has announced on its official website that it is adding plugin support for ChatGPT.
Plugins are tools designed specifically for language models with safety as a core principle, helping ChatGPT access up-to-date information, perform computations, or use third-party services. The retrieval plugin enables ChatGPT to search content from vector databases and add the best results directly into conversations. This means it has no external actions, with primary risks being data authorization and privacy.
OpenAI has released the first batch of ChatGPT plugins created by Expedia, FiscalNote, Instacart, KAYAK, Klarna, Milo, OpenTable, Shopify, Slack, Speak, Wolfram, and Zapier. OpenAI stated that it will begin extending Alpha access to users and developers on the waitlist.Source link
