TechFlow news — Pixelcraft Studios, the developer behind the metaverse game Aavegotchi, has announced the successful completion of a long-term token sale spanning several years, raising a total of $30 million. The Aavegotchi token GHST has been sold via DAICO (Decentralized Autonomous ICO) since September 14, 2020, lasting over two years. Due to uncertainties surrounding the stability of the DAI stablecoin, AavegotchiDAO voted to terminate the sale. No venture capital firms or angel investors participated directly in this funding round.
The funds will be distributed among community participants, with Pixelcraft Studios, the core developer of Aavegotchi, receiving 25%, or $7.5 million, and the remaining $22.5 million allocated to the DAO treasury. All funds will be exclusively used for development, marketing, liquidity provision, or protocol incentives.Original link
