TechFlow news, ConsenSys announced it will launch its zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) rollup to public testnet on March 28, enabling stress testing of the Layer 2 scaling solution. The testnet allows Solidity developers to build, test, and deploy DApps while conducting large-scale testing of zkEVM.
ConsenSys also aims to keep its zkEVM open-source after launch. The final upgrade will initiate its audit and security processes to ensure the zkEVM is secure and reliable before the mainnet launch scheduled for later in 2023.
