TechFlow News, March 3 — At ETHDenver, Web3 hardware company JDI announced a partnership with DIMO, a decentralized vehicle connectivity project, to launch a new hardware brand called HashDog, offering cost-effective DIMO devices.
DIMO aims to use Web3 hardware to help vehicle owners tokenize and gain autonomy over their vehicle data, enabling users to better control driving data and potentially earn rewards from it. Currently, over 5,000 vehicles have connected to the DIMO network, covering more than 40 common car brands. Owners can access data such as battery status, smart insurance, vehicle health, and car sharing via the DIMO app.
JDI stated that this collaboration will help accelerate the expansion of the DIMO network. By purchasing a HashDog device and connecting it to a vehicle’s data port (known as the OBD2 port), users can collect and share verified data from IoT devices—their cars—to prove real-world events have occurred. The DIMO devices offered by HashDog feature enhanced stability and precise positioning, enabling users to more easily join the “Drive to Earn” trend.Source
