TechFlow News, February 14 — Jack Lu, co-founder of Solana-based NFT marketplace Magic Eden, took to Twitter today, calling it “a sad day” for the company. As part of a corporate restructuring, Magic Eden has made the difficult decision to part ways with 22 team members. “This decision does not reflect on the talent, hard work, and dedication of this group in any way,” he said.
In its official announcement, Magic Eden stated that affected employees will receive two months of severance pay, a waiver of the one-year cliff vesting period, an extension of their stock option exercise window to one year, plus six additional months of healthcare coverage and Headspace subscription benefits.
In June 2022, Solana's leading NFT marketplace Magic Eden raised $130 million in a Series B funding round at a $1.6 billion valuation, officially becoming a crypto unicorn. Source link
