TechFlow news — Sony Bank released its latest financial report showing that SoftBank Vision Fund incurred a loss of JPY 660.01 billion (approximately USD 4.992 billion) in the third quarter of the fiscal year, compared to a profit of JPY 50.35 billion (approximately USD 381 million) during the same period last year. The Vision Fund's investment losses amounted to JPY 730.36 billion (approximately USD 5.526 billion) in the third quarter.
According to reports, SoftBank wrote down its investment in FTX to zero on November 15, 2022, stating that "its investment in FTX was less than USD 100 million," representing only a small fraction of its USD 100 billion Vision Fund, and would not have a material impact on the overall equity value of the company.
