TechFlow reports, on January 23 local time, according to the St. Martin News Network, Rolando Brison, leader of the United People's Party (the current largest party in parliament) of Sint Maarten, Netherlands, plans to submit an initiative bill in the coming weeks to adopt TRON as the country's national blockchain infrastructure and explore granting TRON-based tokens legal tender status.
Sint Maarten is located in the Caribbean and is currently one of the four constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. If this initiative passes at the legislative level in Sint Maarten, it would represent a successful replication of TRON's high-level cooperation model previously implemented in Dominica across the Caribbean region. Given Sint Maarten’s close ties with the Netherlands and mainland Europe, this move could also open possibilities for expanding TRON’s “Dominica Model” into Europe. Justin Sun, founder of TRON and member of Huobi Global Advisory Council, praised the development on Twitter: "This is another milestone for TRON! Sint Maarten adopting TRON-based tokens as legal tender marks yet another achievement in our mission to drive global blockchain adoption." Original link
