TechFlow News — Gitcoin has officially announced that its Alpha round of quadratic funding will take place from January 17 to January 31, 2023. This round will support 200 grantees working on open-source software, Ethereum infrastructure, and climate solutions, with a total matching pool of $1 million.
Notably, during the Alpha test round, donors can claim one POAP per round they participate in. Users who collect all available POAPs will be eligible for a raffle to win a Schelling Point VIP package, including $150 worth of Gitcoin products.
Additionally, in 2023 Gitcoin will transition to a blockchain-based grants protocol, enabling anyone to launch quadratic funding grant programs. This protocol will allow grantors to create grant programs at any time, increasing flexibility for grantees applying across multiple rounds and for donors wishing to contribute small amounts.
