TechFlow News — On December 9, Justin Sun, founder of TRON, member of Huobi Global Advisory Board, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Grenada to the World Trade Organization (WTO), stated during an internal staff meeting that TRON and Huobi are positioned as builders of the Decentralized Metaverse (DM), aiming to transform users into citizens of the metaverse world. A digital citizenship system will launch next year, designed to accommodate all 8 billion people globally, with decentralized metaverse users expected to surpass Vietnam's population—exceeding 100 million—by next year. Over the past year, TRON and Huobi have reached 120 million users collectively. Notably, Huobi has become the only exchange experiencing逆势 growth, adding tens of thousands of new users daily following the rollout of its decentralized metaverse.
Justin Sun believes that by 2023, no fewer than 10 countries will support the decentralized metaverse, rising to no fewer than 50 within the next five years. Currently, over 150,000 users have already registered as Huobi Metaverse Citizens. The metaverse is open and inclusive, and it is hoped that in the future, users from TRON, Huobi, and even other platforms can claim metaverse citizenship using their own blockchain addresses.
Sun added that collaborations with Dominica and Grenada are just the beginning. TRON will further advance partnerships with sovereign nations while expanding the rights and benefits of metaverse citizenship, empowering HT and other tokens within the TRON ecosystem, and strengthening the decentralized metaverse economy. Digital identities in the metaverse can be used for KYC verification, and metaverse citizens will receive their own bank cards, passports, and virtual homes within the metaverse.
