TechFlow News, December 8 — According to Reuters citing sources, Canada's largest pension fund, CPP Investment (CPPI), has abandoned its pursuit of investments in the crypto market, ceasing efforts to seek investment opportunities in cryptocurrency and stating it holds no direct investments in digital assets. Previously, CPPI established a three-member team in early 2021 to research cryptocurrency and blockchain-related businesses and assess potential exposures.
It was reported that on August 18, Canada's pension manager CDPQ wrote off its $150 million investment in the bankrupted crypto lending platform Celsius Network; another major Canadian pension fund, Teachers', also suffered significant investment losses from the FTX collapse. (Source link)
