This includes Executive Editor Maggie Leung (former CNN editor), Editor-in-Chief Amelia Salyers who joined a16z four years ago, Cryptography Editor Jeff Benson (formerly senior editor at Decrypt), and Biology Editor Nicole Neuman.
Future was launched on June 15, 2021, publishing over 20 articles simultaneously on topics ranging from the creator economy to how cryptocurrency could disrupt Hollywood. Its most recent article, titled "Why Applying Machine Learning to Biology is Hard – But Worth It," was published on October 5, 2022, and no new content has been released since—nearly two months ago. According to SimilarWeb, Future's website traffic dropped from approximately 1.3 million visits in July this year to 423,000 in September.
