TechFlow News — According to Yahoo Finance, Airwallex, a fintech company based in Australia and a Ripple partner, has announced the completion of a new $100 million funding round at a valuation of $5.5 billion. The round was participated by Tencent Holdings Limited, Sequoia Capital China, Solasta Ventures, HostPlus (an Australian industry superannuation fund), and a North American pension fund.
To date, Airwallex has raised over $900 million in total funding. Airwallex enables its customers to issue and pay international invoices and bills through its payment platform. It joined Ripple's enterprise blockchain network, RippleNet, in 2017 to modernize global payments using blockchain technology.
