TechFlow News, September 30 — According to Business Insider, a series of texts released during Musk's legal battle with Twitter revealed that Will MacAskill, an effective altruism ethicist and advisor to FTX founder SBF, told Musk in March that the cryptocurrency billionaire "might be interested" in buying Twitter. MacAskill attempted to arrange a meeting between the two billionaires and discussed financing matters in April with Morgan Stanley banker Michael Grimes. Grimes informed Musk that SBF was willing to commit $5 billion on April 25, but Musk appeared uninterested, stating he did not want to engage in "a grueling blockchain debate" with SBF.
