TechFlow News, according to a report by the UK's Financial Times, Orlando Bravo, co-founder of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, believes that the cryptocurrency industry lacks high ethical standards and will pause investments. However, if he were to invest, he would continue investing in FTX, stating: "FTX will be a big winner, and SBF is one of the best entrepreneurs I've ever met."
Orlando Bravo does not consider private equity to be a pyramid scheme. He argues that this business model operates just like any public market—when there are profits to be made, people will buy in—but no one calls the public markets a pyramid scheme.
Orlando Bravo is the co-founder of Thoma Bravo, a private equity fund managing billions in assets, and is also a supporter of Bitcoin.
Thoma Bravo Asset Management currently holds stakes in five crypto companies. In addition to its $150 million investment in FTX last year, it has invested in Anchorage Digital, FalconX, Figment, and TRM Labs.
