TechFlow News — Aptos Labs, a Layer 1 blockchain founded by former Meta employees, has raised $150 million in a Series A funding round led by FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto. Other investors include Griffin Gaming Partners, Franklin Templeton, Circle Ventures, and Superscrypt. Aptos has now raised $350 million to date this year, with plans to invest in developing its secure and scalable Layer 1 blockchain.
In February, Aptos Labs announced plans to revive the Diem blockchain, aiming to build "the most secure and production-ready blockchain in the world." Aptos will use the funding to support the development of this initiative.
Ramnik Arora, Investment Partner at FTX Ventures, said: "To bring blockchain technology to the next billion users, we need to prioritize scalability, security, and ease of use. That's exactly what Aptos is doing."
