TechFlow, UK-based investment app Shares has announced the completion of a $40 million Series B funding round, led by Valar Ventures, a Silicon Valley firm backed by renowned investor Peter Thiel. To date, the company has raised a total of $90 million. Shares plans to use the latest funds to accelerate its expansion across European markets and enter the Web3 space by launching cryptocurrency-related services.
Founded in 2022, Shares offers a "social trading" platform tailored for first-time investors. By combining social features with trading capabilities, users can buy, sell, and share their investment views using headlines and GIFs. The platform primarily targets Gen Z and millennials.
