TechFlow news, the inaugural "Global Web3 Eco Innovation Summit · Singapore" (GWEI 2022 - Global Web3 Eco Innovation Summit - Singapore) was held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. The event was co-hosted by Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and its Financial Technology Node (SUSS NiFT), along with DefiPlanet, the overseas brand of Bitmain's international platform. The summit was title-sponsored by OKX, a leading global Web3 ecosystem builder.
Professor Cheong Hee Kiat, President and CEO of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), delivered the opening address. He stated that Web3 encompasses numerous participants as well as a wide array of new technologies, applications, and opportunities, involving the convergence of many technologies such as blockchain, metaverse, cryptocurrency, NFTs, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), artificial intelligence, decentralized finance (DeFi), and cloud computing. The concept of Web3 brings infinite possibilities—new businesses will flourish, financial growth will be substantial, entertainment will transcend the physical world, and production and services will take on novel forms, scopes, and creativity.
