On July 14, Lennix Lai, Director of Financial Markets at OKX, announced at the Global Web3 Ecosystem Innovation Summit in Singapore that OKX has obtained a provisional virtual asset license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), allowing the exchange to offer certain products and services to pre-qualified investors and financial service providers in the region. Lennix Lai stated that Dubai and UAE leadership have embraced blockchain technology and continue to make significant investments in the crypto ecosystem. The company plans to hire over 100 employees in the UAE and seeks to collaborate with local industry participants.
