TechFlow News — FlexiDAO, a blockchain-based clean technology startup, has announced a €6.1 million funding round led by SET Ventures, with participation from Google and Microsoft's Climate Innovation Funds, as well as EIT InnoEnergy. The new capital will be used to expand its services to make carbon neutrality a reality worldwide. The company currently operates in 13 countries and plans to continue growing in its core markets of the United States and Europe. It will also use the funds to develop new technologies ensuring compliance with any upcoming changes in emissions reporting regulations.
Headquartered in Barcelona, FlexiDAO’s software platform leverages blockchain technology to verify and trace electricity from production to consumption. It enables credible and verifiable claims about carbon footprints on a per-day, per-hour basis, allowing customers to understand the source and carbon footprint of the energy consumed across their operations, and take timely action to procure cleaner power for 24/7 carbon-free energy use.
