TechFlow news — Coinbase Derivatives Exchange, a derivatives trading platform under Coinbase, will launch its first crypto derivative product, Nano Bitcoin futures (BIT), this month. Additionally, Coinbase stated that it is awaiting regulatory approval for its Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) license to offer margin futures contracts to clients.
Previously, Coinbase Derivatives Exchange was formerly known as FairX. Coinbase acquired FairX in early 2022 to launch cryptocurrency derivatives trading. FairX had received regulatory approval for derivatives trading services at the end of 2020.
